Nyíregyháza is the 7th biggest city in Hungary. Its historical center can be easily explored on foot: the city hall built in 1873, the regional administration building, the gallery of Greek Catholic art, cozy streets and a homely atmosphere. The Sóstói Múzeumfalu, an open air museum is located in the vicinity of Nyíregyháza and displays examples of the architecture of the past and supports the rural traditions of this region.

Here, in the old oak forest, lies one of the best zoos in Hungary with an aquarium. On an area of more than 30 hectares, all the continents of our Earth have been “recreated”. This allows you to "walk around the world" and observe what animals live in different parts of the planet: from the polar bear to the African elephant, rhinoceros and kangaroo. About 4 thousand specimens of fauna are represented here, including rare pygmy hippos and the white tiger.
