It is obtained from peat, which lies in a 7-meter layer at the bottom of the thermal lake Hévíz. Due to the high content of humic acid, the therapeutic mud has a dark gray, almost black color. It has an anti-allergic effect, because it binds and removes allergens from the body. It improves the overall condition of the skin, and you will immediately notice how your skin becomes “younger”. It fights inflammation, helps to eliminate the consequences of injuries, swelling, hematomas, contributing to their speedy healing. Its characteristic odor is due to its high sulfur content.
The temperature of the mud is always prescribed by the doctor during the examination, and depending on the state of health, it can be 36-42 degrees. To get a great effect after the procedure, you should have at least half an hour of rest and peace, namely, because of the load on the body, dirt applications are not done every day. The spent, used mud is collected and returned back to the lake, where it resumes its properties again. That is why it is best to use the procedures at the spa and not repeat it at home.
