The city of Tapolca is primarily famous for the fact that there is a lake in a cave. Travelling in a boat on an underground lake with unusually clear and blue water will add thrills to your excursion, because in some places the vaults of the cave hang over your very heads and not all halls have lighting.

The famous Hungarian sculptor Laszlo Marton was born in Tapolca. Walking around the cit,y you can meet with his works. The most famous sculpture of the master is perhaps the “Little Princess”, which adorns the Danube embankment in Budapest. Today, the resort of Tapolca is a very calm and quiet town, with cosy restaurants, cafes and small shops.

In addition, we are welcome you to the picturesque town of Keszthely, located on the northwest shore of Lake Balaton. Visitors can admire the magnificently restored Helikon Castle Museum, a neorococo-style castle complex. At the heart of its well-kept gardens stands Festetics Palace, the third-largest and one of the most beautiful palace buildings in Hungary.

Inside the palace museum, guests can explore authentic interiors, furnished with original pieces from the palace as well as items brought from other locations, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of Hungarian nobility during the 18th and 19th centuries. On the ground floor, the museum displays the most valuable and striking examples of Hungarian weaponry spanning the last millennium.

The tour continues along Keszthely’s scenic marine promenade, where visitors can see a unique 19th-century building — the Bath House. Our tour finishes on Keszthely’s charming pedestrian street, where travellers can explore small museums about the region’s history or simply enjoy the atmosphere in numerous cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants serving traditional Hungarian and European cuisine.
